The Importance of Stereotyping
When ethnicity and racial issues get blended together, there's a strange thing that happens. When we have one bad incident, we decide that all people are like that. And we then start being afraid of and threatened by anybody who looks like that type of person. I've experienced it myself. One day I happened to be in the laundromat by myself talking about stereotyping. Two little boys came into the laundry; he happened to be white. The woman on duty happened to be Korean. She got down at their level and then she screamed, why you lie? Why you lie?
