The English Sweating Sickness
In the early modern period, from 14 85 to 15 51, we have an absolutely horrendous disease. It kills an awful lot of people and then all of a sudden it fizzles out. Professor bull got could it be that there were these infections, vial infections, in the past that was so aggressive that they killed everybody and wiped themselves out in the process? We don't quite know what the english sweating sickness is, but from the symptoms described, people assume today that it is an unknown species of virus.
