The Parasocial Relationship in Video Games
In video games, do you have parasocial relationships with other players? That's a really good question. The original boundary definitions of parasocial relationships argued that it was a one-way street. But I would argue if you're talking to another person in the world, that's just a normal social relationship. There's not necessarily a parasocial relationship. It's just social because you are just having a real interaction with another real person.
