When Grandma Moses was a young farm girl, she had a desire to paint. Her family and friends told her that as a farm girl, her role in life was to marry a farm boy and raise farm kids. She put her heart's desire aside and did what she thought she was supposed to do. In the last 10 years of her life some of her paintings were selling for more than $100,000 each.
