Ray Croc's Screaming on the Field

San Diego Padres owner Ray Croc bought the team for $12 million in 1974. After three straight drubbings at the hands of the Dodgers, by a combined score of 25-2 to open the 1974 season, almost 40,000 excited fans showed up for the home opener. The Padres quickly doused the excitement trailing the Houston Astros 6-0 after only two innings. An individual motivated by the recent streaking phenomenon decided to add a touch of surrealism by running naked onto the field. A stunned crowd suddenly heard its owner berating his Padres.
