The Code of Capital: A Guide to the Organization of Global Capitalism
The code of capital is such that you can write a contract anywhere in the world and say that, you know, should there be a dispute, it will be solved under New York or Britain. You can register your company in Wyoming or South Dakota or any other kind of jurisdiction that has minimal levels of corporate taxation. And yet the British government will often act as if they're being blackmailed by their own kind of micro colony to keep their corporate tax rates low. So this is it's either kind of disingenuous ignorant or just playing the electorate for fools,.
