Concentration vs Mindfulness Meditation

There's prerequisites and there's antecedents to both paths or the two primary paths, concentration and mindfulness. If you go jump right into mindfulness and your mind isn't able to concentrate, then you're still merged with your thoughts. And if you go into concentration and you never leave concentration behind, then you don't develop the metacognitive ability to have that broad based situational awareness. So it's not an either or it's a both. I think that's one of the things that I'm trying to do is demystify meditation," he said.
