How to Detect a Covet Epidemic Over Two Weeks

After controlling for news and new cycles, they did find that they could detect a national outbreak. And they were looking at a national basis, not on provincial or state basis. An average of 16 days before case counts started to spike, as you pointed out. That is a result, i guess, of the lag between somebody first getting symptomatic with covid and then taking the necessary steps after they've gotten worse.
