Nodger's Melismas and Oleluia of the Mass
A monk came from Western France, fleeing the Vikings and had written poetry. Nodger critiqued these settings that this other monk brought from Jumeyaj. And then Nodger began to write his own. Then he showed them to a teacher who then told him they should all be syllabic. They should be one note per syllable. So it gives a sense of kind of the various aspects of learning and performance and how they're related to each other.
