How Christians Should Aim to Make Sure That God's Kingdom Is a Redemptive Force Rather Than Simply a Reaction
Jesus was what I call a double revolutionary when Jesus announced God's kingdom this meant that God is king and Caesar isn't and Herod isn't. Martin Luther King did so well despite being called on by black power leaders in the 60s they said oh you're just a wimp because you believe in non-violence. Desmond Tutu in South Africa has called all the names under the sun not only by white supremacists but also by hard line people of violence are from the black communities. Somehow we have to articulate what that's going to look like for the next generation - it will be different in different contexts, he says.
