Markism and Primitive Accumulation
The emergence of capitalism wasn't about competition, or some people working harder than others. It was about class struggle between different classes. The development of capitalism then didn't occur as this sort of peaceful, organic transition. In order for the capital necessary for this emerging class function, they had to enslave massive parts of the world. They had to justify genesides. And so the story of the emergence of capitalism that we get into with this idea of primitive accumulation is one of violence, one of revolution and one of struggle.
