The Paradigm Shift in Bariatric Surgery
The first author was Susan Mullen and Alexandra Sinclair was the senior author there. And this was from a randomized controlled trial where one arm received bariatric surgery and the other was assigned to a dietary intervention. So major kudos to these authors for being able to include that in their study. The greater the weight loss, the greater the reduction in ICP was documented. 24% of weight loss was associated with disease remission. Such magnitude of weight loss could not be achieved without bariatric surgery.
