The Suburban Experiment Is a Failure
In Hawaii, you can have a shack with four poles and a roof over the top and be completely comfortable for 90% of the year. You do not have to have a really high level of construction in order to live safely and prospersily in Hawaii. We are no longer going to be wedded to Euclidean zoning or auto-oriented development pattern. If we want to call it strong towns, do it. I would love to have strong villages in Hawaii.
