The Black Slave in the Book of Abraham

In the top left image on the very far left, that is a new bus and a new bus is traditionally represented with a snout. On the printing plate, you can see it up close picture on the right hand side. And then due to the impression to the right of that,you can see that the snout almost certainly was carved out. In other words, the original book of Abraham printing plate working off of the papyrus facsimile would have had a new bus represented appropriately with a snouts. But instead of a newbus with a jackal head, what we have is an individual who has an abnormally small head. It looks like a pin head on this figure
