Francis Pearman: School discipline has been characterized in one way shape or form as exclusionary. He says there are a lot of different ways in which student behavior can be corrected, including out of school suspensions and law enforcement referrals. "I was always kind of the thinking behind suspension, even when I was a child was, it didn't always make a lot of sense to me," he said.
