How Many Are Going to Put Up Council Tax?

Councils in England that provides social care can increase council tax by up to 5%. Manchester Council has had to reduce its workforce by 40% since 2010. The impact of the growing population and age in population, inflation and less money overall since 2010 is taking its toll. Since 2010, we've seen a reduction in our annual budgets to 428 million pounds per year that comes from government. And what that's meant is that's put more pressure on us relying on council tax and business rates to be able to fund the vital services that people need in their community.
