The appendix a fleshy bag that's attached to our intestines is thought to be a safe house for the beneficial bacteria living in the human gut. Since the gut is a tube its contents are constantly being washed through the appendix seems to be a place where useful bacteria can hang out and repopulate the intestines. Last week we talked about how good people felt after gifting rather than keeping a hot chocolate so it makes the giver feel good but it turns out they massively underestimate how good it makes the person who receives this lovely gift of a hot chocolate feel.
