The Importance of Catchphrases
Bingo is referring to Steve Erkel, the nerdy catchphrase spouting star of the 1990s sitcom Family Matters. People have been repeating pithy phrases to one another for a very long time. Shakespeare was as quotable then as he is now and Vodvillex relied on catchphrases too. But we're going to begin when mass audiences could hear these phrases simultaneously for the first time. We will make America great again. One million dollars. Oh, right. My wife. And there are other super well known phrases that don't come from films or TV shows where I work. It can get so much bigger like political slogans.
