Introduction

The Personal Genome Project launches today in the UK. Anyone can send in a swab of their saliva and receive a complete breakdown of their genome for free. This is open access research and those who volunteer will be screened to make sure they understand the risks. We'll also find out why Led Zeppelin doesn't like classical music. And we'll finally name Helen Cherzk's boy in a christening involving plenty of bubbly water.
