John Boyd: It's not one place in your brain that makes decisions, it's the collective. He says trauma we inherit from our grandparents and our great grandparents is carried through us. This could accelerate the way you view the end of civilization, right? Boyd: If your parents are messed up, then that increases the probability you're going to be messed up. And so it's social propagation. Some epigenetics may be for some things, but probably not the equivalent of psychological trauma.
