The AZA's Reintroduction Programs
The AZA claims to have reintroduction programs for animals like the Black-footed ferrets and Red Wolves. However, they also kill thousands more in Europe because of "surplus" The European branch euthanizes between 200 and 5,000 animals per year. One zoo publicly dissected a lion in front of an audience which included children. Another Danish zoo killed a two-year-old giraffe then fed him to lions. When times are tight, the emergency plan becomes feed the animals to each other.
