Why Didn't People Just Watch the Salamanders Eat?
No one had studied it specifically before haley came along. Scientists had guessed that they ate things called amphopods, which are tiny cousins of the shrimps and crabs. Another reason tha people thought that they ate those was because if you look in salamander poop, you can see the exo skeleton, as hard shell, of the amphipods in the poop. But haley had a hunch that they were eating something else too,. A scientist's hunch, yes. Like, don't you think it's unlikely that an animal would only eat one thing? I guess so. Now that i think about it, it makes sense that they would eat more than one
