Wong Jow's Plan to Make Mande the Standard Language in China

Wong jaw wanted to do two things. One was to make his dialect, mande, the standard language across china. The second was to come up with a writing system that would let people of other dialects sound out words in mandarin. And so in that process, he came across the peasants, most of whom were illiterate and uneducated. This kind of confirmed his belief that, gosh, the chinese really need to be more educated.
