The term emerges from in 1975 I think it's first time was written down in the Yale French studies uh an issue of that which was like the deconstructionist journal in the United States. The poets who i was able to name understood themselves as being participating in a Berkeley Renaissance not a San Francisco Renaissance. Virginia Woolf wouldn't have known herself as a modernist in your self as being part of the Bloomsbury group.
