Crimea and the Dunbas Are Very Different Animals
In february of two thousand 15, the dombast region held a referendum and voted to join the russian federation. It seems to me that puton essentially could have changed the border of russia right there with a magic marker,. And much like in crimea, simply had his soldiers walk into position there and stand on corners, on street corners, and say, this belongs to us now... But he decided not to do that. Why didn't he absorb this very pro-Russian area of far eastern ukraine at that time when they were begging him to wel crimea and the dunbas are very different animals?
