Cognitive Control
Cognitive control involves more than just the pre frontal lobes. There are at least two separate networks involved that connect the pre frontal cortex to other parts of the brain. We talked about why experience plays an important role in developing cognitive control, but we didn't have a chance to discuss what happens later in life. I encourage you to think creatively about your environment and whether there are steps you can do to minimize distracting cues. This will help your brains stick on one task at a time.
