The Myth of Trauma in Children
I don't believe that they would be experiencing that as an encounter with the real. I think that in many ways, pre linguistic bioactive life is a state of pure horror, pure terror all the time. That's what I think like to be a lizard on a hot rock. Purely you're fucking terrified. And I don't imagine it's too different to be a baby in front of a mirror.
