What Are Counter Factuals?
A counter factual, of course, is when we imagine that things could have turned out differently than they actually did. People tend to reach for certain counter factuls at one point in time, but not for others. Am so things imagining how the world could have been better, we call upward counterfactuals. And imagining how the World could have been worse, we call downward counterfactualS.
