The Importance of Hitting Coaches

I'm lucky because I've never really been with a director. Hitting coach is a glorified psychologist. There's certain people that are predetermined to play at the top level. Once you get into the box, nothing's going to help. We learned through trial and error from getting our butt kicked up until something else works. Edgar Martinez is going to start with his hands in the hitting zone all of us here will have to do if we want to be successful.
