Janicek was one of the musicians that kind of took me under his wing when I was like 18. There's a beautiful intimacy to his play and also to this piece, Janletrick's music. But apparently Janicek had been at a very low point physically and mentally being suffering with some kind of arthritis or something like that. Apparently I'd heard a concert of Debussy's music and maybe it's back to inspiration.
