CHAPTER

The King Courthill Nature Reserve

Aberdeen's King Courthill Nature Reserve is a 'valuable habitat' for wildlife. There are species like red-tailed bumblebees, ruby tiger moths and emperor moths up here. The reserve has also been home to wild fish over the last 60 years. In nearby Lithgow, you'll find a narrow book farm which specializes in small-scale farming. Ian Withers explains exactly what the narrow boat farm is and how it operates.
