Cory Allen
The Myths That Make Us
Performing competence and social armor
Cory identifies how intellectual mastery became armor that prevented genuine connection.
Cory Allen is a writer, meditation teacher, and podcast host whose work reaches over five million people a week. He is the author of Now Is the Way and Brave New You, he hosts the podcast And Then It Hit Me and has guided thousands of students into presence through his courses Release Into Now and Coming Home.
In this episode, Erick and Cory link back up for the first time in 6 years. They explore everything from Cory meeting and apprenticing with Robert Anton Wilson, to waterboarding himself in a bathtub float tank, to the slow dismantling of social armor in more recent years. One day we’ll get him to cry on the podcast.
