What Is the Story of the Hays Rebellion?

The first instances of direct resistance started as early as 17 82, when groups of sympathetic neighbors would simply go take back property that had been seized from their poor friends. Most were content to petition the state government for help, specifically requesting that the state issue more paper currency. But then bowden added fuel to the fire when he decided to get the state's financial house in order by also demanding payment of all delinquent taxes. And so we call this little insurrection shays rebellion.
