How Has Costume Design Changed Over the Years?

Hocus Pocus came out 30 years ago, still showing on Halloween. I'm just curious how you've seen the industry and costume design, costuming and film change over the years if at all. You designed Crazy Rich Asians, which is one of my favorite films. It's so much easier to make a movie now because of communication, like you can text pictures to a director.
