Each neuron has what 10,000 connections or something? Yeah, roughly 10 to the 14 total. So that's like a million billion synapses. On the other hand, the clock speed is an awful lot lower in a brain than it is in a digital computer. And so if you have a network that solves problems in real time, you don't need those buffers or the very little working memory.
