The Jealousy of the Lord
The jealousy of the lord is a prominent dimension of the old testament's witness to his character, most notably within the ten commandments. The declaration that the lord has returned to zion in verse three recalls chapter two, verse ten. It is quite likely that this material from zachariah was compiled at a later point by the editor or editors of the book of z Zachariah and perhaps by Zechariah himself.
