How Did Growing Up in a Small Country Affect You?
As a young kid, i used to hate watching the news with my parents. And then i would see what's happening in ruanda, and then i'd see stories coming out of senegal,. Then i'll see stories coming from ugoslavia at the time. It gave me, over time, the understanding of a ripple effect. As a neighboring country to zimbabwe, i would feel the effects in south africa. So definitely, growing up in a country that was very affected by everything happening in the world, i came to realize how important it was to be aware"
