Before graduate school, I was more polarized on certain scientific issues. But as going through graduate school, then you start to learn more arguments and counter arguments for and against whatever position it is or your theory that you're trying to convince. The authenticity started to be lost because I very much knew the counter argument to everything that I was saying. "I think a lot of times we play into this competitive framing," he says.
