The Role of Science Fiction in the Evolution of Robotics

There's this sort of dialogical relationship between the entertainment on the one hand and what's happening in the real world. I think that science fiction is very generative and we kind of dismiss it at our own peril. It gives us the space to consider what these worlds could look like if we see technology develop in this direction. And it provides us with an opportunity to pause before these things are actually rolled out in the realWorld.
