Crucifixes - Armside Control and Shoulder Control
For a good armbar, you need risk control and shoulder control to isolate the elbow in between them. Both of your legs doubling up in basically a figure x over top of their wrist or upper forearm, which then isolates the centre elbow joint. The further you stretch your armside control to the arm on that side, the further your hips come towards their back. And the hip is the fulcrum. It needs to be close the elbow, right? So you need to kind of shrimp yourself just a little bit, hip wise, towards the elbow, tha you're getby hyper extending. If you lift your hips at that point, you're literally pushing the supposedly controlled shoulder
