The book is a history of the five previous ma extinction events that have happened throughout earth's history. It really, like made me think about globa ation differently. One idea that she kind of explores throughout the book is that, you know, biological diversity an speciation is like a process of isolation. And so evolutionary history is this process of colonization and isolation which fractures off all these initial relatives into different species.
