Bouldering four by fours are distinctly different from limit bouldering. You're not bouldering at your limit, you're grouping them into these four blocks of four. The grade selection of the boulder should be one that you can do without falling off on at least the first three attempts. It's part of a good power endurance session, anaerobic, lactic focused session.
