Sceptical theism performs poorly relative to naturalism, which importantly is not agnostic about the data. Jusson remains confident that because other biological systems play biological roles, it's likely that pain and pleasure would also play biological rolls. Justin seems to think every acimatization of our background knowledge is arbitrary, and so all are equally valid. But if that's the case, then it's completely legitimate to use back knowledge that renders the data just as likely on every hypothesis. We'll now turn to whether soul building renders data at least as surprising on theism as on naturalism.
