Sepsis Workup - What to Do if You Have Severe Sepsis
Just like history, your physical examination should be used to identify the possible source of infection. If you suspect meningitis, check jolt accentuation and kernigs and resinsies signs. Cratin and liver enzymes should be sent to assess for renal and hepatic dysfunction. The mainstay of treatment for sepsis lies in early administration of appropriate antibiotics.
