Eliza Drexler's mother became paranoid and schitsophranic when she was a child. She took her across the country by truck from New York to California on one trip. At age six, Eliza wanted to be as small and invisible as possible so that no one would regard her. After being hit in the head with a car while riding her bike, you had to rebuild your communication brick by brick.
