Salmanrusi was born in bombay, but grew up with every conceivable kind of religion around him. He went on to study at cambridge where he came into his own as a writer. Salmanrusi's second novel shame is set in parcistan and tells the story of virgin iron pants who regrets her female sex for wholly non paternal reasons. The book has been published before satanic verses were first discovered.
