Is It So Hard to Measure the Outcomes?

How do we measure what's effective and what's not? So how do you approach that? Good question, i think i mentiond earlier. Through my job as commentary editor for science communication, i've read number of papers over the years about local or regional public outreach efforts. And those more contained efforts are more effective than these big, splash efforts that try to communicate with large numbers of peopled. That seems to me a fundamental and obviously, were hear at the society, we struggle with that too.
