Lawmakers in Brazil are also considering new legislation to curb the spread of fake news online. This Tuesday there's a very broad and controversial project in voted so this is about strengthening regulations and oversight of digital platforms like social networks messaging apps, search engines. So it's very controversial because on one hand the goal is to improve the fight against this information hate speech criminal activity online. There's also very strong opposition to it and the argument is that these rules will hurt freedom of expression.
