Morse: One's own particular historical epoch has its own prejudices written into it that are invisible to it. He says the effort of generating a theory like Freud or Hengel does, doesn't immunize you to the prejudices of the time but it cuts against them. Morse: We can't think of Africans as not human beings in the sense that they don't seem to have waited over you or something.
