The Role of Self Help in the American Left
The working class is turning to self help in a way which is fundamentally different than the way that lash thought that it would go. According to lash and Rief ends up creating a kind of stunted subjectivity so you can see how that critique will just form an artificial I would say schism on the left. The reef and lash critique of the left in its own conception of a self expression polymorphous perversity radical horizontalism etc. It really reflects something different and we sort of need a different language.
